Election Commission's dishonesty lost elections, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's big allegation

Posted on 18th Aug 2022 05:01 pm by rohit kumar

Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav made a big allegation to the Election Commission on Thursday. Akhilesh even said that he lost the elections in UP due to the dishonesty of the Election Commission. Said that now there is no fair institution left in the country. The government is putting pressure on these institutions to get the desired work done.

Akhilesh Yadav said in an interview with PTI on Thursday that the election commission's dishonesty was responsible for the defeat of SP in the last assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh and the by-elections of Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha seats and said that if the commission worked honestly. Had it been done, the results would have been different.

The SP President said that his party had fought the last assembly elections of the state with an appeal to save democracy, but the result is in front of everyone. He said that now there is no fair institution left in the country. By pressurizing the government, these institutions get the desired work done.

SP workers were not allowed to vote

Yadav alleged that the Election Commission was very dishonest. A large number of voters' names were struck off from the electoral rolls. SP workers were not allowed to cast their votes in the Rampur Lok Sabha by-election, while red cards were issued to SP workers in Azamgarh. Was the Election Commission sleeping? He did not pay heed to our complaints.

A strong option will be ready against BJP

Along with this, Akhilesh has expressed the hope that a strong alternative will be ready against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, describing the political change in Bihar as a positive sign. He claimed that in Uttar Pradesh too, the BJP will get a setback like Bihar. Here also the allies of the BJP are not happy with him and in the future, they will break ties with this ruling party.

In Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar broke ties with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and formed a Grand Alliance government with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and many other parties is a positive sign. He hoped that in the next Lok Sabha elections, a strong alternative would be ready against the BJP.

The former Chief Minister claimed that BJP allies in Uttar Pradesh were not happy with him. Look what they (allies) are getting after all. One day they will all leave it (of the BJP).

It is noteworthy that in Uttar Pradesh, Apna Dal (Sonelal) and Nishad Party are allies of the BJP. When asked about the role of the SP in creating an alternative to the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Yadav said Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Nationalist Congress Party's Sharad Pawar are working on an alternative. Right now our focus is on strengthening the party in Uttar Pradesh.

In the year 2019, SP, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) contested elections together on 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. BSP got 10 and SP got five seats, while the account of RLD could not be opened. After losing the Rampur and Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-polls in June last, the SP's tally has come down to three.

Full focus on strengthening the organization

On the question of strengthening the party organization, the SP President said that his entire focus is on strengthening the party and the party's national convention will be organized this year. He further said that the membership drive of the party is going on and it is getting a good response.

The SP President said that this time this campaign is being run through the mobile application. Regarding the urban body elections to be held later this year, the SP President said that preparations are being made for it and in-charges have been appointed for this.

Corona second dose figures fake

Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the figures related to the second dose of the anti-Covid vaccine are fake. He said that there are no medicines and doctors in the hospitals. People are not getting treatment. In the state medical university, pimps are roaming, ministers and officials are doing arbitrariness, while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is busy in review meetings.
