Big action in Atiq-Ashraf murder case, 5 policemen including Shahganj Inspector suspended

Shahganj police station in-charge Ashwani Singh, outpost in-charge Nivan Preet Pandey, sub-inspector Shiv Prasad Maurya, constable Jaymesh Kumar and constable Sanjay Prajapati have been suspended in the Mafia Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf murder case. The SIT yesterday interrogated all the policemen including the SO, after which this action has been taken on the basis of the report.

After the murder of Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf, CM Yogi had taken strict action and suspended the policemen posted in the security. The policemen first failed to identify the assailants who fired at Atiq and his brother Ashraf and then their fingers could not even reach the trigger of their weapons. The way the miscreants hurled abuses in no time and during that time the policemen standing in front remained spectators. Questions are also being raised regarding this.

It is clear that only high-spirited policemen would have been deployed for the security of Mafia Atiq. They must have been equipped with all the modern weapons as well. Despite this, none of the policemen present on the spot could fire a single bullet at the attackers, whereas a policeman was also injured due to the miscreants firing.

 

Atiq-Ashraf was killed on 15 April

Atiq-Ashraf were taken on police remand in the Umesh Pal murder case. On the day of the murder, both had gone for spotting with the police. On his return, his medical was done at Calvin Hospital. Only after this, after leaving there, Arun, Sunny and Mohit, who came in the guise of media persons, gunned down Atiq-Ashraf as soon as they got a chance.
