The BJP, which was out of power in Bihar due to the change of Nitish Kumar, has now started its preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state. Even though the general elections are still about 20 months away, the BJP has entered mission mode. Under this, Amit Shah is going to visit Purnia and Kishanganj next month. During this, he will also address many public meetings. Amit Shah's two-day visit, starting on 23 September, is being linked to the preparations for the BJP's Mission 2024. This will be Amit Shah's first visit to the state after the BJP was voted out of power in Bihar.

Confirming Amit Shah's visit, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said that he will be in the Seemanchal region on September 23 and 24. He said, 'A big rally has been organized in Purnia on 23rd September. All senior leaders of Bihar will be present at this rally. The next day he will be in Kishanganj and will address a rally here too. The complete details of Amit Shah's visit to Kishanganj have not been revealed. But party leaders say that during this time he can also meet officials engaged in border security. He can discuss the problem of infiltration, especially in the districts of Seemanchal. These districts have a large Muslim population and the BJP has been making issues of population imbalance and infiltration.

BJP is busy making inroads in 4 Lok Sabha seats

BJP leaders say that both these districts are important for BJP's plan for 2024. Apart from this, the ground will also be ready for the assembly elections to be held in 2025. In the 2019 general elections, the BJP won Araria, one of the four Lok Sabha seats in the region, while the JD(U) contesting with it got Katihar and Purnia seats. Both these seats have traditionally been considered to belong to the BJP. Apart from this, Congress had won the Kishanganj seat. Now that the JDU has parted ways, the BJP is once again focusing on winning at least three seats here.

The focus is on 24 seats of the Vidhan Sabha coming from Seemanchal.

A BJP leader said that our effort is now to make inroads in Kishanganj as well. Apart from this, there will be a special focus on this region as 24 seats of the Bihar assembly come from Seemanchal. Out of these 24 seats, 16 are currently held by the parties of the Grand Alliance. Congress and RJD have 5-5 seats here. Apart from this, JDU has 4 seats in its account. Even though this area is Muslim majority, there is also a significant population of very backward and backward voters. Let us inform you that JDU has attacked Amit Shah's visit to Kishanganj, linking it with communalism. JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha said that the BJP has started trying to increase communal tension.
