New Delhi, Jan 5 (IANS) BJP parliamentarian Ramesh Bidhuri Monday sent a legal notice to AAP leader Ashutosh for maligning his image and blaming him and his family members for a clash after a TV debate show.
Bidhuri said that by blaming him and his relatives for the violence, Ashutosh tried to defame him.
At least five people were injured Saturday in a clash between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers following the Hindi television channel debate show in Tughlakabad area of south Delhi, which is also the constituency Bidhuri represents in the Lok Sabha.
"Ashutosh has been making allegations that it was me and my family members that were responsible for the violence. Can he prove it?" Bidhuri asked.
"He is maligning my image by calling me a gunda (goon). I have sent him a legal notice," he said.
The AAP earlier Monday released a video that allegedly showed the "involvement" of Bidhuri's family members in "leading the pre-meditated attack" on AAP volunteers.
