BJP Uttarakhand Manifesto: From love jihad to cow progeny, know the key promises

BJP released its manifesto for Uttarakhand on Wednesday. In the manifesto issued in the name of Drishti Patra, something has been given for everyone from farmers to youth, women. Promises have also been made to deal with riots and tighten the law against love jihad. Among the lucrative promises, it has been said that three LPG cylinders are free to poor women and additional Samman Nidhi to farmers. Let us know what BJP will give to different sections.

 

Under Chief Minister Kisan Protsahan Nidhi, in addition to 6000, 2000 assistance has been promised to woo the farmers. In this way, farmers will start getting Rs.8000. There has also been a promise to strengthen the Cow Child Protection Act. Kisan Mandi in every block of the state and also promised to reduce crop loss due to livestock.

 

To make the law and order strict, it has been said that the love jihad law should be made more stringent. Along with doubling the number of women police stations, there will be a system of patrolling of 100 women constables. New armed police battalions have been promised at Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar.

 

Among the works announced for women, an assistance of Rs 500 per month has been announced to women heads of poor families and 10 new women housing centers have been announced for women working in major industrial cities. 500 crore special fund will be created for women's self-help groups.

 

Skill development schemes will come for the youth. The training center will be established in every district. To bridge the gap between the employers and the unemployed, it has been said to create a portal in partnership with industries. Arrangements will be made for the implementation of government services and schemes through Gram Seva Samiti. Local village manager will be appointed on honorarium for 50 houses.

 

To promote sports, a sports talent identification and the training academy will be constructed in every block.

 

It has been said to bring all the schemes for rural development. In this, all villages will be developed under the Smart Village program. Every Gram Panchayat will have at least one ATM by 2025. Community and Recreation Center will be set up in every Gram Panchayat. Under the PM Vani scheme, a Wi-Fi hotspot will be created in every village. It has been said to increase the wages of MNREGA employees in a phased manner.

 

For health, arrangements will be made to establish medical colleges in every district of the state and a mobile hospital in every district. Dialysis centers and affordable cancer care centers will be set up in every district.

 

The grade pay of policemen will be fixed. There has been talking about creating a strong police force to control the riots. An anti-riot vehicle and bulletproof jacket will be arranged. 20 thousand full-body protection anti-riot gear will be made available. Modern vehicles and rifles will be bought for the police.

 

The Chardham project will be expanded. All the pilgrimage centers connected with the Char Dham circuit will be expanded. Physical infrastructure and transport facilities will expand. Under the Mokshada Teerth Yatra scheme, a subsidy of up to 10 thousand will be given to senior citizens.

 

Haridwar will be made the international capital of yoga under language and culture. Spiritual tourism centers will be established. Funds will be given for Veda Pathshalas. They will have partnerships with major religious and social institutions. Department of Vedas will be expanded in Uttarakhand Sanskrit University.

 

Kumaon and hilly areas will develop. The new drone policy will be implemented in agricultural land surveys and insurance. Doctors will be encouraged to work in hilly districts. A special recruitment drive will be conducted to fill up the vacant posts in government places. A satellite campus of Visva Bharati National University will be built in Nainital.

 

Voting in one phase on February 14

 

All 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand will go to the polls on February 14 in a single phase. The results along with other states including UP will come on March 10. The term of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly ends on March 23. In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP formed the government with a thumping majority by winning 57 seats.

 

The opposition party Congress got only 11 seats. Trivendra Singh Rawat became the Chief Minister, but after removing him after four years, BJP first made Tirath Singh Rawat and then Pushkar Singh Dhami the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
