The state is making elaborate preparations for Mahashivratri, the last bathing festival of Mahakumbh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is keeping an eye on this festival. On Monday, he reviewed the preparations through video conferencing. He gave strict instructions to the senior officials regarding the convenience of the devotees with special arrangements. He said that full attention should be given to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. There should be no traffic jams in the city and highways outside the Mahakumbh Mela.
The administration has made extensive preparations to make the holy bathing festival of Mahashivratri divine and grand. District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandhad said that as per the instructions given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through video conferencing, all necessary steps have been taken for the cleanliness, security, and convenience of the devotees of Shiva temples.
He said that arrangements have been made in all the major temples for the Ganga bath, Jalabhishek on Shivling, and special worship on the day of Mahashivratri. Barricading, deployment of the police force, and vigilant monitoring of administrative officials have been ensured in the temple premises.
The arrangements have been streamlined in coordination with the temple management so that the devotees can perform their religious rituals uninterrupted. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, devotees reach the holy places in large numbers. Keeping this in mind, necessary arrangements have been made at all important places including the reclining Hanuman temple, Akshayvat and Saraswati Koop. Guidance centers and help booths have been set up to facilitate the darshan system.
The administration has given priority to the safety and facilities of the devotees. Cleanliness is being regularly monitored at the bathing ghats and temple premises. Police, Home Guards, NDRF, and administrative teams will be on alert so that crowd management can be done smoothly. The District Magistrate said that all necessary preparations have been completed to make the closing festival of Mahakumbh 2025 spiritual, well-organized, and memorable. The aim of the administration is that the devotees can have darshan easily and their experience should be divine and unforgettable.
