A political conflict has intensified between Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and the BJP over her statement on Gaza. Before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel, Priyanka Gandhi had urged him to raise the issue of the alleged genocide in Gaza and demand justice for the victims. The BJP responded sharply, accusing Priyanka of selective outrage and calling her the "female Ghazni" of Indian politics.

Priyanka Gandhi wrote on social media that India should be a voice of truth, peace, and justice to the world. She expressed hope that the Prime Minister would raise the Gaza issue in the Israeli Parliament. Priyanka, a Member of Parliament from Wayanad, stated that India's tradition has always been in favor of peace and human rights.

BJP's sharp attack

BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia attacked Priyanka Gandhi on social media. Citing a character from the 2008 film "Ghazni," he said that Priyanka Gandhi does not remember the attacks in Israel on October 7th. Bhatia said that Priyanka lacks the moral courage to condemn the killing of over 1,200 innocent people, the kidnapping, and the torture of women.

Allegations of selective outrage

Bhatia said that it is easy to go to Parliament with a bag bearing Palestine, but it is difficult to openly condemn terrorist attacks. He accused the Congress of playing vote bank politics. The BJP said that a balanced and clear stance on international issues is essential.
