The film's director, Geetu Mohandas, said, "Finding the right actor for Karmadi was a key requirement in this journey. They needed someone who could be a strong support for the film without making any noise, and Sudev was perfect for this role. Sudev is not only a good actor but also a good human being."
He also praised Akshay Oberoi, believing that he is a perfect fit for both roles. Besides these two stars, the film will also feature several other stars.

Apart from Yash, the film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles. 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups' has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English. It will also be released in several languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
