Voting is underway today for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the country's richest municipal corporation. Voting is also taking place in a total of 29 municipal corporations across Maharashtra. Actor Akshay Kumar also cast his vote. Akshay Kumar cast his vote at a polling station in Gandhi Shikshan Bhavan in Mumbai as soon as voting began on Thursday. After voting, Akshay Kumar appealed to the people to vote and said, "Voting is taking place today for the BMC elections. As Mumbaikars, the remote control is in our hands today. I appeal to everyone to vote in large numbers. If we want to be the real heroes of Mumbai, we shouldn't just talk, we should come here and vote."
