Security has been tightened at several district courts in Delhi following a bomb threat on Tuesday. Following the threat, the courts in Saket, Dwarka, Patiala House, and Rohini were immediately evacuated, and a thorough search was conducted.
Court proceedings were immediately suspended due to the bomb threat. All judges, lawyers, staff, and visitors were immediately evacuated from the buildings. Bomb squads and security personnel thoroughly checked the entire premises. Special security arrangements were made at the Patiala House Court, where the bomb squad conducted a thorough search.
Alert at Saket Court
After the security checks are completed, court proceedings may be allowed to resume after lunch. In a notice issued by Anil Basoya, Advocate, Honorary Secretary of the Saket Court Bar Association, members were informed that due to a security issue in the court premises, all court work was temporarily suspended for the next two hours. The information urged all members to remain calm, cooperate with authorities, and avoid unnecessary crowding or panic.

This is not the first time Delhi courts have faced such threats. In September, the Delhi High Court also received an email containing a bomb threat, forcing judges to abruptly leave their courts and evacuate the premises. These incidents have raised serious questions about the security of the courts.
