Bomb Threats School: 40 schools in Delhi threatened to be bombed, panic created after the email; many schools closed

40 schools, including many big schools in the capital Delhi, have received bomb threats. DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School of Paschim Vihar also received emails threatening to blow them up. After this, the schools sent the children back home. Many schools have been closed. After the bomb threat, the fire brigade and police were informed.

 

40 schools in Delhi received threats

 

Delhi Police said that on Monday, many schools in Delhi received bomb threats, including DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School of Paschim Vihar, Mother Mary School, British School, Salwan Public School, and Cambridge School.

 

The person who sent the email demanded money.

 

Delhi Police said that today more than 40 schools have received bomb threats through email. It is written in the mail that I have planted many bombs inside the buildings. The bombs are small and have been hidden very well. This will not cause much damage to the building, but many people will be injured due to the explosion of the bombs. If I don't get $30,000, I will detonate a bomb.

 

Schools have received threats earlier too.

 

On November 29, Venkateshwar Global School in Rohini received a bomb threat via email. A day before this, a low-intensity explosion occurred in the Prashant Vihar area. In which a person was injured. Similar threats are being received continuously in the capital.

 

The blast took place in Prashant Vihar, Delhi.

 

A massive explosion took place in front of a sweet shop near a park in the Prashant Vihar area on Thursday morning. A tempo driver present at the spot was injured in the blast. A month ago, a massive explosion took place near the wall of a CRPF school located in the same area. So far, the police have not found any clue about the accused in this case.

 

The police have registered a case in the blast case. Prashant Vihar police station has registered a case against unknown people under the Explosive Substances Act and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means. A tempo driver was injured in the blast that took place in B Block on Thursday.

 

During the investigation, the police did not find a timer, detonator, battery, clock, wires, etc. on the spot. After the initial investigation, the police suspect that nitrate and hydrogen peroxide chemicals were used in this too, which are not considered high-grade explosives. It is suspected that the blast occurred due to the driver throwing a beedi on the explosive kept in the garbage. The police are investigating the CCTV cameras installed around the spot.
