Amidst the ongoing controversy over Aurangzeb and the violence in Nagpur over his tomb, the RSS has made it clear that invaders can never be our ideals. According to RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, people with a mindset of invaders are a threat to the country.
Hosabale made it clear that reservation based on religion is against Baba Saheb Ambedkar's constitution. He described the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya as an achievement of the whole society rather than the RSS.
What did Hosabale say about Dara Shikoh?
After the conclusion of the three-day meeting of the All India Representative Assembly of RSS in Bengaluru, Dattatreya Hosabale said that anyone who wants to destroy Indian values and cultural heritage here is an invader and Indians cannot consider him their ideal. He made it clear that Dara Shikoh fits in the Indian values, while Aurangzeb worked against them.
Shah warned against the mentality of considering invaders like Aurangzeb as an ideal and said that such people are a threat to India.
Hosabale also made it clear that not only those who fought against the British were freedom fighters, but those who fought against foreign invaders in the medieval period were also fighting for independence. In this connection, he took the name of Rana Pratap.
When asked about the RSS's views towards Muslims in connection with establishing social harmony, Hosabale said that Hinduism is not just a religion, but it is a nationalist expression as well as a cultural, spiritual, and civilizational expression.
Inspiration has to be taken from history, culture, and civilization: Dattatreya Hosabale.
Dattatreya Hosabale said that to build a harmonious society, all people will have to take inspiration from the history, culture, civilization, and national ideals here and the RSS is making efforts for this. In this connection, he cited hundreds of meetings of Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat with the minority community.
On the question of four percent reservation for Muslims in contracts in Karnataka, Dattatreya Hosabale said that many states have made such efforts before this.
But it could not be implemented because it was against the Constitution. Any attempt to give reservation on the basis of religion is against the sentiments of the Constitution makers.
