Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's troubles are not decreasing in the CBI corruption case related to the alleged excise policy scam. The supplementary chargesheet filed by the CBI in this case has revealed that Arvind Kejriwal was involved in it since the beginning of making the liquor policy. He was involved in a criminal conspiracy to formulate and change the liquor policy.
For information, let us tell you that completing its investigation with the filing of the fifth and final chargesheet in this case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has alleged that Kejriwal already had a "pre-determined idea to privatize" the excise policy. Which was canceled after the allegations of corruption surfaced.
He sought monetary support for his party AAP in March 2021, when the policy was being formulated by the GoM headed by co-accused Manish Sisodia. The CBI has alleged that his close associate, the media and communication person in charge of the accused Vijay Nair, was contacting various stakeholders of the Delhi Excise business. They were demanding an illegal bribe from him in exchange for a favorable excise policy.
Decision reserved on Kejriwal's bail
On Thursday, the Supreme Court reserved its decision on the bail petition filed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the CBI corruption case related to the alleged excise policy scam. A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan heard the bail petition of the Delhi CM. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi presented Kejriwal's side.
