'Operation Sindoor' was launched on 7 May and its aim was to eliminate the hideouts of terrorists built in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

This attack was carried out on terrorists who were associated with organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Operation Sindoor was started because 26 innocent people lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April 2025, in response to which this action was taken.

Now the success of Operation Sindoor will be celebrated in IPL as well. BCCI has made a special plan, which will be seen in the closing ceremony of IPL 2025.

Celebration of the success of Operation Sindoor in IPL

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has planned to pay special tribute to the Indian Armed Forces (IAF) in the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This ceremony will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3 before the start of the final match of the IPL.

BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia told Sportstar that the Indian cricket governing body has invited the Chief of Defense Staff as well as the Army, Navy, and Air Force chiefs.

Saikia said in a conversation with Sportstar,

"The board salutes the bravery, courage, and selfless service of our armed forces, whose heroic efforts under 'Operation Sindoor' continue to protect and inspire the country. As a tribute, we have decided to dedicate the closing ceremony to the armed forces."

Let us tell you that after the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, India retaliated on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) on the intervening night of May 6 and 7.

After this, the Indian Air Force strongly responded to the aggressive action taken by Pakistan, after which a ceasefire was announced on May 10.
