After TRF, the Central Government has now declared Jaish-e-Mohammed's proxy organization PAFF and all its groups as terrorist organizations. The Home Ministry has taken this action under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification giving information about this.
The PAFF claimed responsibility for last year's terror attack on an army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri, in which 4 soldiers were killed. During this, two terrorists were killed by the security forces. This organization had threatened against organizing the G-20 meeting in Kashmir.
Apart from this, Arbaz Ahmed Mir has been declared a terrorist by the Ministry of Home Affairs. He works for Lashkar-e-Taiba. Arbaaz is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, currently, he is living in Pakistan.
Earlier, the Home Ministry had banned Lashkar's proxy organization TRF on Thursday night. This organization has been involved in several target killings in Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification banning TRF late on Thursday night.
Along with this, the Home Ministry had declared TRF commander Sheikh Sajjad Gul and Lashkar commander Mohammad Amin alias Abu Khubaib as terrorists. This action was taken on both under UAPA. Please inform that in September 2022, the Popular Front of India i.e. PFI was banned for 5 years. Terror link evidence was found against all of them.
Why was TRF banned?
The Ministry of Home Affairs informed that TRF is recruiting youths for promoting terrorist activities, recruiting terrorists, infiltrating terrorists, and smuggling arms and narcotics from Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir. TRF came into existence in the year 2019. It is accused of inciting the youth of Jammu and Kashmir against the Government of India through social media platforms.
At the same time, Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Mohammad Amin alias Abu Khubab has been declared a terrorist. He is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, at present, he is in Pakistan. Khubaib is acting as the launching commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, he also has links with agencies of Pakistan.
