Sunrisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen stumped Shikhar Dhawan off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 23rd match of IPL 2024 on Tuesday, the video of which has gone viral. This incident took place during the match played between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mullanpur.

 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was bowling in the fifth over of the innings. He hit the fourth ball on length, on which Shikhar Dhawan moved forward to drive. But there was no contact between his bat and the ball. As soon as Klaasen caught the ball, he scattered the wickets and Shikhar Dhawan did not get any chance to turn and reach inside the crease. Bhuvi had thrown this ball at a speed of 140 km per hour.

 

 

This stumping of Heinrich Klaasen is being highly praised. On social media, users compared the South African wicketkeeper with former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Let us tell you that Shikhar Dhawan returned to the pavilion after scoring 14 runs in 16 balls with the help of two fours. Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings by 2 runs in this exciting match.

Let us tell you that in the match played in Mullanpur, Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and scored 182 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Punjab Kings team could score 180 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.

 

This was the third win in five matches for Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad and they are ranked fifth in the points table of IPL 2024. At the same time, this was the third defeat for Punjab Kings in five matches and they are in sixth position in the points table.
