It has been 25 days since Eknath Shinde became the CM and Devendra Fadnavis as the deputy CM, but the cabinet has not yet expanded in the state. The opposition is blaming the central government for this. He says that no decision is being taken in Maharashtra without Delhi's green signal.
After coming to power, Fadnavis and Shinde held three cabinet meetings and most of the decisions taken in these are reflected in the BJP's central leadership. In such a situation, the question arises whether the government of Maharashtra is now running from Delhi? Let us tell you 8 such decisions of the Maharashtra government in which Delhi's interference is visible.
Center's impression of these 8 decisions of the Shinde government
1. Bullet Train Project: This was the most ambitious project of the Center, which was shelved by Uddhav Thackeray as soon as the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was formed. After coming to power, Eknath Shinde has again given impetus to this project. National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited has floated tenders for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail circuit for the construction of an underground station at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
2. Metro Car Shed Project: Within 24 hours of the formation of the Uddhav government, the Mumbai Metro-3 car shed being built in Aarey Colony was shifted to Kanjurmarg. The Center staked its claim on the land in Kanjurmarg where this project was to be built and the matter reached the court. Its construction was stalled for two and a half years and now as soon as the new government was formed, this project was again shifted to the place of Aarey forest and the land of the center has become free again.
3. Phone tapping case: Maharashtra government has directed to hand over the alleged phone tapping case related to IPS Rashmi Shukla to the CBI. Shukla is alleged to have tapped the phones of many opposition leaders in the year 2019. At that time she was the head of the State Intelligence Department (SID). A copy of the recording made by Shukla was delivered by Devendra Fadnavis to the Union Home Ministry. Now it is being said that only on the behest of the Central Home Department, the State Government has handed over this case to the Central Agency.
4. Had to take the post of Deputy CM under pressure from the Center: Devendra Fadnavis had said in his first joint press conference after the fall of the Uddhav government that he would not join the cabinet. Hours after this statement, the central leadership announced his taking oath on social media and by evening he had to take oath as Deputy CM.
5. the First ban on renaming, then agreed: After taking oath as CM, Eknath Shinde-led government stayed the decision to rename Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar, Osmanabad's Dharashiv and Navi Mumbai International Airport to DB Patil Was put The previous Uddhav government had taken this decision to change the name in its last cabinet meeting. However, later Shinde had to implement this decision of the Uddhav government. According to sources, the Shinde government had changed this decision only on the instructions of the Centre.
6. Mahajan case handed over to CBI: BJP leader and former state minister Girish Mahajan was accused of extortion and criminal intimidation, now an order has been issued to hand over the case to CBI. According to sources, the Shinde government has handed over the case to the Central only on the orders of the BJP leadership.
7. Instructions to implement the projects of Central: Prime Minister Modi had a meeting with 18 Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs on Sunday. Devendra Fadnavis was also involved in this. Emphasizing better implementation of flagship schemes like Gati Shakti, Har Ghar Jal, Swamitva, and Direct Benefit Transfer from the Center to all CMs and Deputy CMs. In such a situation, it is believed that some more projects of the Center will have to be implemented in the state considering the government.
8. Preparations to tighten the noose on the Thackeray family: The central government has ordered an audit of the work of two and a half years of the ministry of former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's son and former Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray. This is seen as a major setback against the Thackeray family.
'The real government is running from Delhi'
Senior journalist and political expert Ravi Kiran Deshmukh say that after the formation of the government, both have gone to Delhi 5-7 times. Both have had several rounds of meetings with Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and Prime Minister Modi. How Eknath Shinde resumed the work of the most ambitious project of the Center i.e. bullet train after becoming CM, shifted the metro car shed to Aarey Colony, clearly shows that even though Shinde is the CM and Fadnavis is the deputy CM. But the real government is running from Delhi itself.
Cabinet expansion is being delayed due to Delhi
Senior journalist Sanjay Awte said that the list of cabinet expansion is being prepared in Delhi, there can be many surprising names in it. Delhi i.e. Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and PM Modi are managing everything. Clear indications have been given from his side that no important ministry will be given to Shiv Sena after the post of CM. Shinde getting the post of CM and Fadnavis as deputy proves that this government is running from Delhi.
