The Central Vista project has received a major relief from the Delhi High Court. After the work of this ambitious project of the Modi government, Central Vista was cleared by the Delhi High Court, the government has now attacked the opposition on this issue. Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri attacked Congress and said that a wrong story was being created about the Central Vista project.

Was the decision taken during the Congress rule itself?

Hardeep Puri told a press conference, 'When Meira Kumar was the Lok Sabha Speaker in 2012, she had an OSD who wrote a letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing. It was said in this letter that a decision has been taken that a new Parliament House should be built. Now the same opposition parties are questioning this project, which is wrong. '

If there is a sharp earthquake, now in the Seismic Zone 4 of the Parliament House

The Union Minister said, 'See, so far a wrong story is being created about the Central Vista Project. The decision on this project was taken long before the corona pandemic. At the same time, it is necessary to build a new building of Parliament, because the old building used to come in Seismic Zone 2, if there is a strong earthquake, then this building is now in Seismic Zone 4.

Demand for new parliament arising since Rajiv Gandhi's time

Hardeep Puri said that at the time of independence our population was close to 350 million. We need a place in the Parliament House so that Members of Parliament can sit. Since Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister, since then there has been a demand that a new Parliament should be formed, which is compatible with today's situation. The total expenditure in this entire project is around Rs. 1300 crores.

No shortage of money for Corona Vaccine

When the Union Minister was asked about the question arising on the money allocated for the Corona vaccine, he said, 'Look, it is being said that 20,000 crores are being spent during the crisis, put it in the vaccination program. Let me tell you that the Center has allocated 35,000 crores for vaccination. There is no shortage of money for vaccination, there is enough money. Vaccine availability is another matter.
