There is a possibility of rain in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital and Champawat on Saturday. Light to moderate snowfall may occur in places with an altitude of 2500 meters and above.

Let us tell you that on Friday, a massive avalanche occurred due to the breaking of the glacier in Mana, Uttarakhand. Due to this, the BRO camp has been damaged.

 

It was told that about 57 workers are reported here. Many routes have been closed due to avalanches. At the same time, damage has also been caused in many places. Due to rain and snowfall in the border district, traffic has come to a halt beyond Ganganani on the Gangotri Highway. There has been an avalanche in Dabrani on the highway between Ganganani and Gangotri.

Due to snowfall, more than 24 villages in the Ganga and Yamuna valleys have been covered with snow. Due to rain and snowfall, electricity supply has been disrupted in a total of 48 villages in both valleys. Three feet of snow has accumulated in Yamunotri Dham due to continuous snowfall. Four feet of snowfall is expected in Gangotri Dham.

Senior Sub Inspector Yogesh Pandey of Munikireti police station said that at around 11 am, information was received about the continuous falling of stones from the hill in Devprayag. After this, vehicles going from Badrinath Highway were diverted from Bhadrakali and sent to Srinagar via Chamba. It was told that the route was kept diverted for about two hours. The SSI said that given the weather conditions, constant contact is being maintained with the surrounding police station areas.
