Operation Sindhu: Happiness on returning safely to India from troubled Iran, faces lit up after meeting family members; 1700+ have returned so far

Amid the two-week-long military conflict between Israel and Iran, India has launched Operation Sindhu for the safe return of its citizens. Under this operation, a special plane carrying 285 Indian citizens reached Delhi from Mashhad city of Iran at 11:30 pm on Sunday. The happiness of Indians was visible after their safe return from crisis-hit Iran. Their faces lit up after meeting their loved ones at the airport. A total of 1,713 Indian citizens have been brought back to India from Iran so far under Operation Sindhu.

 

Minister of State Pabitra Margherita said that a special evacuation plane carrying 285 Indian citizens from Iran has reached New Delhi. The plane mainly carried Indian citizens from 10 states - Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra among others. He said that the total number of Indian citizens evacuated from Iran has now increased to 1713. We have scheduled 2-3 more flights from Iran for the next 2 days. He said that we are in constant touch with all the Indian citizens living in Iran and Israel.

 

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a post on X that India is constantly trying to bring back its people under Operation Sindhu. He said that a special plane carrying 285 Indians reached New Delhi from Mashhad city of Iran at 11:30 pm on June 22. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Pabitra Margherita welcomed the Indian citizens at the airport. He said that till now a total of 1,713 Indians have been brought back from Iran.

 

Return to the country was possible due to the Government of India: Jafri

 

Syed Shahzad Ali Jafri, who returned to India from Iran, thanked the Government of India. He said that I am from Mumbai and have been working in Iran for the last three years. He said that the Government of India supported us. Today, his return to the country has been possible only because of the Government of India.

 

The government fulfilled the wish.

Tahmina, who returned from Iran, said that I am feeling very good. We wished and prayed a lot to return home safely. The Government of India has fulfilled our wish. He said that the government has arranged good facilities for us.

 

Believed in the words of PM Modi

Fazal Abbas, who returned to India from Iran, said that he is a resident of Lucknow. I am feeling very good about returning to my country. He said that we used to hear that PM Narendra Modi considers all Indians as members of his family. Today I have become convinced of this. Abbas said that PM Modi saved us from every corner of Iran and brought us back home.

 

It is difficult to describe the return to India in words

Marshal, who returned from Iran, thanked the Indian Embassy and the Ministry of External Affairs. He said that the efforts of the government are amazing. He said that what I am feeling after returning to India cannot be described in words. We thank the Indian Embassy and the Ministry of External Affairs in Tehran.

 

Full faith in Modi government: Raza

Raza, who returned to India from Iran, expressed full faith in the Modi government. He said that the Indian Embassy is working hard. He said that the Indian government has assured that the Indians who are currently living in Iran will be rescued. We had full faith that the Modi government will save us. He said that those who are currently in Iran also have full faith in the Modi government.

Satir Fatima expressed happiness on returning to the country from Iran. She said that I feel blessed. I am very grateful to the Government of India and PM Modi. She said that the situation in Iran is getting worse day by day. Living there is not free from danger. At the same time, Shama Feroz says, 'I am feeling very proud.
