There has been silence in the Netrakoti village of Jammu after the Naxalite attack on Saturday in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
In this Naxalite attack, 22 CRPF personnel were killed and 32 are injured. But a CRPF jawan is still missing.
The missing jawan has been identified as Rakeshwar Singh Manhas, who hails from the same village. Rakeshwar Singh was admitted to CRPF in the year 2011.
Before this, his father Jagtar Singh was also in CRPF.
Rakeshwar Singh was involved in the expedition team of the security forces which had gone out in search of Naxalites in the Bijapur-Sukma forests of Chhattisgarh on this Saturday.
Family is praying for prayers
For the past three days due to lack of information, the entire family of Rakeshwar Singh Manhas and the people of the neighborhood have been praying for his safety.
When the media personnel reached his house on Monday, his family members got emotional and demanded from the Central Government to ensure the safe release of Rakeshwar Singh as soon as possible.
So far no official statement has come out from the government.
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, the South Bastar Division of the Naxalites claimed that Rakeshwar was with them and was completely safe. And they will be released when the time comes and will send a photo of them soon.
Rakeshwar's family is suffering
Rakeshwar Singh's wife Meenu Chib and her mother Kunti Devi are shocked to hear the news of the Naxalite attack in Chhattisgarh from Saturday evening.
Their five-year-old daughter intermittently talks about returning to her father's house and then sits quietly in her mother's lap.
Talking to reporters in his house, Meenu Chib said, "I spoke to my husband for the last time at 9.30 pm on Friday. He was packing his tiffin before going on the operation at that time. He told me that I am going on operation duty and will come back and talk. I have not had any contact with him since then. "
Meenu further said, "After hearing the news of Naxalite attack, when I called the control room of CRPF Group Center, Bantalab, no concrete information was received from there."
Appealing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Meenu Chib said that at any cost, the release of her husband from the Naxalites should be ensured just as they were released after the Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan was caught in Pakistan.
Meenu said, "My husband has been fighting for the country for 10 years. Today is a time when the countrymen fight for him. Pray for him. May God, come back soon, safely."
Meanwhile, on Monday, Commandant PC Gupta of CRPF Group Center in Jammu, along with other officials, reached out to meet Rakeshwar Singh's family and assured them that they are standing with him and are in touch with Chhattisgarh CRPF.
