The Health Ministry said that on May 7, 4 lakh 14 thousand 188 new cases had come, which now 60 thousand 471 new cases have come. More than 100 cases are coming in 165 districts of the country. Whereas there has also been a huge reduction in active cases ie those who are undergoing treatment. The number of active cases has now come down to less than 10 lakh. The number of patients recovering has increased, while the recovery rate in the country has gone up to 95.6 percent. The positivity rate has also come down significantly.
How dangerous is the first and second wave for children
The top health advisor of the central government had expressed the apprehension that the third wave of corona could prove to be dangerous for children. In this regard, Luv Aggarwal said that during the first wave of the corona, only 3.28 percent of children in the age group of 1 to 10 years were found infected. Whereas during the second of Corona, 3.05 percent of children of this age were infected. Whereas, 8.03 percent of children in the age group 11 to 20 were infected during the first wave of the corona. Whereas in the second wave 8.5 percent of children of this age group were infected.
Randeep Guleria said – no data on much impact on children
