China is selling 'junk' not weapons to Pakistan, drones get lured as soon as they buy it

Beijing

Pakistan and China have close ties but China's inferior goods are affecting this 'friendship'. The Pakistani army is largely dependent on China to increase its strength. But due to the supply of modern weapons from China to the Pakistan Defense Forces, now bitterness is arising between the two countries. Tensions have risen between Islamabad and Beijing due to poor quality Chinese military hardware and poor servicing and maintenance.

In a blog post for Al Mayadeen, Nisar Ahmed wrote that China and Pakistan often support each other's stance in each other's occupied territories. Three military drones were recently designed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group of China and sold by CATIC (China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation) as a 'collaboration' in January 2021, according to an Al Mayadeen report. I joined the Pakistan Air Force.

Drones broke down as soon as they joined the army

This military equipment of China has become a headache for the Pakistani army instead of strengthening them. Ahmed said the Chinese-made Loong II Unmanned Aerial System (UCAV) has been put on hold within days of being inducted into the Pakistan Army due to malfunction. Regarding China's military drones, Amader Shomoy said in his report that Pakistan has only inducted the Chinese firm's 'poor service and poor maintenance' in the army.

Chinese firm not responding

CATIC has not yet responded to any call made for the repair and service of the drone. The parts supplied by the firm were substandard and mostly unusable. Even the engineers sent to Pakistan to get the military air vehicles started as soon as possible could not fix them. According to Ahmed, now the Pakistani authorities have asked the Chinese firm to send a team of better and experienced engineers so that this serious crisis can be dealt with at the earliest.

China's weapon is tempted

The biggest problem is the leakage of nitrogen gas from the infra-red camera on the drone. The Pakistani Air Force wants the infrared pods to be replaced immediately. While the Chinese firm is not responding to their application. The front fuel pump of the UAV has also failed. Therefore, the supply of China has become a problem for the Pakistani army. Now the Pakistan Army is waiting for their repair or replacement.
