New Delhi, Jan 5 (IANS) It was chilly Monday morning in the national capital with the Met Office forecasting a clear day ahead.
The day's minimum temperature settled at a level above the season's average at 7.8 degrees Celsius.
"There was moderate fog in the morning and the visibility was around 1,000 metres. However, the sky will be mainly clear during the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
According to the Northern Railway, the fog in and around the city delayed 29 trains, while 3 trains were rescheduled.
The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 92 percent.
Sunday's maximum temperature was a notch below the season's average at 19 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at five notches above the season's average at 12 degrees Celsius.
