Taking cognizance of the devotees going to Varanasi and Ayodhya after bathing in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the officers will be responsible if there is a jam. While reviewing the arrangements of Mahakumbh at his official residence on Friday, he instructed the senior officers to get down to the field and fix the arrangements.
In fact, due to the reverse flow of Mahakumbh, a situation of terrible jam arose in Ayodhya, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ambedkarnagar, and Barabanki on Thursday. Ayodhya was the worst. More than 10 lakh devotees had reached Ayodhya on Thursday. To control the situation, vehicles started being diverted from the district border itself. Entry of heavy vehicles was stopped on the Gorakhpur, Gonda, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, and Ambedkarnagar routes. In Sultanpur, there was a jam of about 25 km long on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway on Thursday.
Taking cognizance of this, the CM gave strict instructions and said that the senior officers themselves should come on the road. There should be no jams on the road anywhere in Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Varanasi, and all the surrounding districts. Ensure accountability at every level. Wherever there is a jam, the officials will be held accountable. Let us tell you that earlier, after the CM's strict stand, the officials took charge, which led to success in ending the jam everywhere. On Thursday, once again, due to the jam situation, people had to face a lot of difficulties.
