Heavy rain is also likely in Punjab, Haryana, and Northwest Uttar Pradesh in the next two days.
A Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas. The Western Disturbance which is over North Pakistan will start affecting the Western Himalayas by tonight. Cyclone-like conditions will prevail over Southwest Rajasthan and its adjoining areas. Apart from this, the rain will continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The rain, which started on Thursday night, will continue till Saturday. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh on Saturday. Apart from this, heavy rain and storm conditions will be seen from Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha.

On January 7 and 8, rain activities will increase over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh.
