Chennai, March 15 (IANS) Union Finance Minister P.Chidambaram Saturday said that the Congress' biggest fault was that it did not expound its achievements.
Addressing a meeting here, he said the party "did not trumpet its achievements" even as the country saw nine percent growth in the last 10 years.
Chidambaram said the party was behind the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, due to which there is no hunger in the country.
He also charged the media of suppressing the central government's achievements.
Taking a dig at AIADMK saying it the "B team" of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chidambaram urged the DMK not to support the BJP government at the centre.
He said the Congress party prefers a youngster called Rahul Gandhi as the country's prime minister.
