8-year-old child shot the girl: found the father's gun and opened fire; death of one year old

An 8-year-old boy shot a 1-year-old girl at a motel in Florida, USA. During this, another 2-year-old girl was also injured. The child accidentally opened fire from his father's gun. The police have arrested the father of the child in this case.

 

Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said – the incident happened last week. The boy's father, Roderick Dwayne Randall, hid the gun in a closet in a room at the Pensacola Motel. As he left the room, his son found the gun and opened fire. Both the girls were from his father's girlfriend. The name of the girl who was killed in the incident was Casey Bass.

Simmons said- Roderick tampered with the evidence after the incident. He tried to hide the drugs and guns lying in the room again. He was arrested after a week's investigation. The boy's father has been charged with gun possession, negligence, and tampering with evidence. He said that the injured girl is expected to recover soon.

Sheriff Chip Simmons said that there have been cases in the city in the past where children have been harmed due to the carelessness of parents. He told that recently a woman had left her 1-year-old son in a closed car. The car was parked in the sun for hours. The woman had left the son and went to a bar.
