Constable Recruitment: Entry is granted after e-KYC and biometric verification, gate closed at 9:30, and no one is allowed to enter now

The written examination for direct recruitment to 60,244 posts of constable civil police in UP Police has started today. The examination will be conducted in two shifts for 5 days from today. In different districts including Lucknow, the candidates who came to take the examination started lining up outside the centers since morning. After checking in at around 8:15 am, they were allowed to enter inside. No candidate was allowed to enter the examination center without e-KYC and biometric verification. Entry was stopped at around 9:30 am and the examination started at 10 am.

 

Chief Minister Yogi himself is reviewing the security

 

UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board Chairman DG Rajiv Krishna said that the recruitment examination is being organized from Friday on the guidance and instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Chief Minister himself is reviewing the security. Question papers have arrived in all 67 districts, which have been kept in strong rooms amid tight security on the lines of EVMs. For the movement of the candidates, the state government has arranged for free travel in buses, while with the help of railways, additional bogies have been installed for the candidates in the trains.

 

2300 magistrates and 25 thousand policemen have been deployed to conduct the examination safely. Candidates whose Aadhaar card information does not match their documents will have to come to the examination center about two and a half hours before and get their e-KYC done. The gates will be closed half an hour before the examination and entry will not be allowed under any circumstances.

 

Supervisors have been deployed to monitor the examination centers. A security officer will also be deployed at all the centers. Administrative and police officers will visit the centers regularly. Along with the examination centers, crowd management has also been arranged at railways, metro stations, buses, taxi stands, hotels, and restaurants.

 

More than 48 lakh candidates have applied

- 48,17,441 candidates have applied for the recruitment exam

- Written exam will be held at 1174 centers in 67 districts

- 9.50 lakh candidates will appear in the exam every day

- 2 hours exam, 5 minutes extra will also be given

- 2300 magistrates, 25 thousand policemen have been deployed

- More than 6.50 lakh candidates will come from other states
