The School and Health Department has increased vigilance after school students of Ghaziabad were found infected continuously. During the last five days, the corona has been confirmed in 21 students and three teachers in nine schools. At the same time, 36 people including ten children were infected during the last 24 hours. Due to the doubling of patients in a day, the Health Department has made preparations to conduct corona tests in schools. Along with this, 70 beds have been reserved in two hospitals in the district. CHCs have also been instructed to be ready.

 

Corona infection is spreading rapidly in the district. The number of infected patients has doubled during the last 24 hours. On Thursday, 18 infected were found, while on Friday this figure has crossed 36. In this, two students and three teachers are from PR Mangalam School. While one teacher is from St. Francis. At the same time, the infection has also been confirmed in the families of many students found infected earlier. At present, the number of active cases in the district is 77. The health department has become alert due to the increase in corona infections.

 

ACMO Administration Dr. Sunil Tyagi informed that 50 beds have been reserved in Santosh Hospital and 20 beds in Chandralakshmi Hospital as a precaution in case of infection. If needed, the number of beds can be increased to 420. Three pediatric doctors have been attached to the Kovid control room. So that if a child has any problem, then the family will be able to call the Kovid Control Room and consult the doctor. Calls are also being made daily from the control room to know the well-being of all the infected children. He said that if the children need to be admitted, the United Hospital has been alerted for that. At the same time, screening camps will also be organized in schools according to the need.

After increasing the corona infection, instructions have been given from the government level to increase 50-50 beds at 75 CHCs of the state. Ghaziabad has four CHCs and one block-level PHC with a capacity of 30 beds each. During the second wave of Corona, additional 20-20 beds were increased on them, but those beds were removed after the second wave passed. ACMO Dr. Vishram Singh informed that on the instructions of the government, arrangements will be made to increase the bed capacity at all CHCs to 100-100. So that there is no shortage of beds at the government level to admit patients.

Association's national general secretary Sachin Soni has said that students are getting infected continuously in schools. In such a situation, strict arrangements should be made in schools to protect against corona.

 

Genome sequencing begins

 

According to District Surveillance Officer Dr. RK Gupta, 260 samples of students, teachers, and parents were sent to KGMU, Lucknow for examination. Genome sequencing of samples of those found positive is being done. 32 samples were sent to Delhi for genome.
