8,579 new patients found on Monday
The country received 8,579 cases of corona infection on Monday, 13,443 patients were cured and 94 patients died. This figure of those who lost their lives is the lowest in the past 271 days. Earlier on May 6, 96 infected people died. It is a relief that in the last 24 hours, 12 states and three union territories did not die due to this epidemic. The highest number of deaths occurred in Maharashtra followed by 17 in Kerala. These two states were such that more than 10 people lost their lives.

India has now reached number 18 in the world in terms of deaths from Corona every day. On Monday, 298 people were found corona infected. 406 patients recovered and one died. So far 2.61 lakh cases have been reported. Of these, 2.54 lakh infected have been cured, while 4,388 patients have lost their lives. There are currently 3,241 patients who are undergoing treatment.
4. Rajasthan
On Monday, 96 people were found corona infected. 309 patients also recovered. So far, 3.17 lakh cases have been reported. Of these, 3.12 lakh infected have been cured, while 2,766 patients have lost their lives. At present, 1,948 patients are undergoing treatment.
5. Maharashtra
On Monday, 1,948 people were found corona infected. 3,289 patients recovered and 27 died. So far, 20.28 lakh cases have been reported. Of these, 19.32 lakhs have been cured. While 51,109 patients have lost their lives. Currently, 43,701 patients are undergoing treatment.
