The journey is beautiful, let's not talk about the destination for the time being, similarly, the rover of Chandrayaan 3 is busy on its journey at this time. Rover Pragyan, who is gathering information about the secrets of the Moon's South Pole, may be facing many difficult challenges in his journey, but he has reached very close to his destination.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) shared information about the rover on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. ISRO said that on August 27, under the mission of Chandrayaan-3, rover Pragyan saw a four-meter diameter crater on the surface of the moon. If the rover's direction had not changed in time, a big accident could have happened. ISRO scientists have got a big relief from changing the rover's path. Now the rover is on a new path and is safe too. Now it is moving forward on a new path.

There was an instruction to cover a distance of 30 meters per day

This time the rover is facing major challenges, as the rover was scheduled to cover a distance of 30 meters per day. According to Nilesh M. Desai, director of the Space Applications Center (SAC), the rover has so far covered only 12 meters due to the difficulties faced on the moon. Explain that the rover has only one lunar day (14 days on Earth) to complete its mission on the moon. As seen from August 23, the rover has completed 5 days on the moon.

fewer days and missions still to go

In the remaining 9 days, the rover will have to try to cover a distance of 300-400 meters on the moon. The rover will have to collect information about the South Pole by covering the maximum distance on the surface of the moon. Scientist Nilesh Desai had told about this on Sunday that Chandrayaan 3's safe and soft landing, showing the rover on the moon and two of the three missions have been completed. Now only one mission is left and under the third mission, Pragyan Rover is moving around the Shiva Shakti Center at the South Pole in search of the secrets of the Moon.

What is the mission of ISRO?

Its mission is only that the rover can gather maximum information by covering as much distance as possible from the south pole of the moon. The moment the sun sets, the moon's south pole will be plunged into darkness and the temperature will drop as low as minus 180 degrees Celsius. In such a situation, the working of the rover will stop. The lander and rover are expected to survive the harsh lunar night till the next sunrise.
