There is news of great relief from Corona in the country. After about 201 days in the country, new cases of corona have reached below 20 thousand. With this, the deaths due to corona in the country have also reached less than 200. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, 18,795 new cases of corona have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours. During this time 179 people died due to corona infection. During this, 24,238 people have also become free from corona infection.

 

After about 201 days, for the first time in the country, the number of new cases of the corona is below 20 thousand. Earlier this happened on 9 March. At present, the number of deaths due to corona in the country has also come down.

 

The total number of corona patients in the country has now increased to 3,36,97,581. The death toll due to corona infection in the country has reached 4,47,373. The Union Health Ministry said that the active patients of the coronavirus in the country have now come down to 2.92 lakh. The Health Ministry informed that in the last 24 hours, 26,030 people have also been cured of the infection across the country, after which the number of people who have been cured of corona so far has increased to 32,9,58,002. At the same time, the number of active cases is currently 2,92,206, which is 0.87 percent of the total cases. The daily positivity rate is 1.42 percent, which is less than 3 percent for the last 29 days. While the weekly positivity rate is 1.88 percent, it has remained below 3 percent for 95 days.

 

The highest number of cases in Kerala

 

The state most affected by Corona in the country is Kerala. On Monday, 11,699 new cases of corona infection were reported in Kerala and 58 more patients died due to the epidemic. With this, the total cases increased to 46,41,614 and the death toll reached 24,661.

 

1 crore vaccine doses were taken in a day

 

In the last 24 hours, 1,02,22,525 doses of the corona vaccine were administered in the country, after which the total vaccination figure has gone up to 87,07,08,636. This is the fifth time in India that more than 1 crore doses of the corona vaccine have been given.
