Coronavirus: PM Narendra Modi addresses the nation at eight o'clock tonight
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on Thursday night about the situation arising out of the Corona virus outbreak and the efforts being made to deal with it.
PMO tweeted, 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country at 8 pm on March 19, 2020 in which he will talk on issues related to corona virus and efforts to tackle it.' In another tweet, PMO said that Modi has corona virus Presided over a high-level meeting to review ongoing efforts to tackle the issue. It said that ways to further strengthen India's preparedness were discussed. This included further testing facilities.
The Prime Minister has emphasized to actively discuss with individuals, local communities and organizations to create a mechanism to deal with the corona virus. He also asked the officials and technical experts to discuss the steps to be taken.
The Prime Minister is regularly appealing to people through social media to prepare themselves but not to panic. He has endorsed the idea of avoiding non-urgent trips and gathering people in one place to stop the virus from spreading.
Modi has also expressed his gratitude to those who are fighting ahead with the corona virus which includes state governments, medical people, paramedical personnel, armed force personnel and paramilitary personnel, aviation sector people and body personnel. Huh.
He also attended a video conference of SAARC countries earlier this week to discuss a joint strategy to tackle the epidemic.
