Security Lapse: Case registered under UAPA in case of lapse in security of Parliament, Special Cell of Delhi Police is investigating.

On Wednesday, Delhi Police registered a case related to the lapse in security of Parliament under the section of UAPA and started an investigation. Delhi Police has come under severe scrutiny in this matter and many questions have been raised regarding the security of Parliament.

On Wednesday afternoon, two accused Manoranjan D and Sagar Sharma jumped into the House from the audience gallery of the Lok Sabha and used color smog, causing chaos among the MPs. The MPs caught the accused and beat them up. After this, he was handed over to the marshal present in the house.

 

On the other hand, his colleagues Neelam and Amol Shinde used color smog and raised slogans outside the Parliament House. After this, the security personnel present outside took him into custody. According to police sources, two other accused namely Lalit and Vishal Sharma were also involved in this conspiracy. Vishal was detained from Gurugram, Haryana, while Lalit is currently absconding.

 

Police said – The breach in Parliament security was a planned incident

Police said 25-year-old Shinde had left his village in Maharashtra's Latur district saying that he was going to Delhi to take part in the army recruitment drive. Shinde, along with Haryana's Neelam, raised slogans of 'dictatorship will not work', 'Bharat Mata ki Jai', and 'Jai Bhim, Jai Bharat' outside the Parliament.

 

Police sources said the breach in Parliament security was a planned incident, carried out by six people, all of whom were in touch with each other on Instagram and other social media platforms. He said that the accused planned a few days ago and did recce before coming to Parliament on Wednesday. He said, 'Five of them had stayed at Vishal's residence in Gurugram before coming to Parliament. According to the plan, all six people wanted to go inside the Parliament, but only two got passes.
