Washington In the US, everyone 16 and older will now be eligible for the corona vaccination. The US Department of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gave this information on Monday. According to the latest recommendations from the US Health Agency, people 16 years of age or older, who are originally exposed to severe, life-threatening complications from Covid, should therefore be vaccinated first.

Most of the US states have already extended the age limit for people of this age group to apply the Covid vaccine. Alaska is the first state to vaccinate people 16 years of age or older, and then several states, including Georgia, Texas, and California, have lowered this age limit.

Earlier on April 19, US President Joe Biden directed the states to broaden the vaccine's eligibility to people 18 years of age or older. No covid vaccine is yet authorized for those under the age of 16, although a test is underway. According to the US Department of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than half of adults have been given at least one covid vaccine dose.

Biden stated that 150 million (150 million) doses of the vaccine were given to senior citizens during his first 75-day tenure. During this period 75 percent of the senior citizens were given at least one dose of vaccine. He said that he hopes that by the time he completes the 100-day tenure, he will have crossed the 200 million (20 crores) vaccination figure.
