China wants to make Gwadar port a military base, wants to influence India and America

The intention of China to spread its foot in Asia and especially to keep an eye on India and put it under pressure is not hidden from anyone. Now experts are also agreeing on the same thing. Experts believe that China wants to use Pakistan's Gwadar port for its military base. Let us tell you that Gwadar Port is a part of China's multi-billion project China-Pakistan Corridor. There is no doubt that experts have already been apprehensive about this intention of China. Experts believe that China not only wants to trade through this port but at the same time, it wants to make its strategic edge in this area by making it a military base.

Junaid Qureshi, director of the European Foundation for South Asian Studies, and Professor Matthew McCartney of the School of African and Oriental Studies said during an interview that they talked about many issues related to China's One Belt and Road Initiative. He said it was inevitable that China would at some point want to use the port in Gwadar as a military base so that foreign resources could be found uninterrupted. But China also knows very well that there can be large-scale opposition to building a military base here. So he will be very careful about that too.

It is worth noting that in the year 2015, China had announced an economic project for 46 billion dollars. The purpose of CPAC was to increase its role in Pakistan and reduce the influence of America and India in Central Asia and South Asia. After the arrival of Gwadar port under CPAC, China was directly linked to Ranchi. Goods movement from Gwadar Port is much cheaper than shipping goods to China through other routes. At the same time, in this way, Karachi was also directly connected with the Xinjiang province of China. China plans to prepare trains and roadways for this. Apart from this, he also wants to put a pipeline that will be able to supply oil directly to China.

In Dragon from the Mountain - The Seapack from Kashghar to Gwadar, McCartney also mentioned the impact of this long-running project on Pakistan. He believes that this will benefit Pakistan but it will not come out as an economic game-changer in any way. Nor will it affect the recovery of Pakistan's deteriorating economy. This will also not stop the rising unemployment. Mack even says that Pakistan will have to depend on others to repay the loan for this.
