Crackdown on those threatening journalists in Kashmir, raids at 10 places in Srinagar-Anantnag-Kulgam

The crackdown has started against those who threatened media personnel active in Kashmir and the accused involved in this conspiracy. Jammu and Kashmir Police have started raids at 10 locations in the Srinagar, Anantnag, and Kulgam districts of Kashmir. Kashmir Zone Police has shared its information with the internet media.

 

Let it be mentioned here that in the past, a hit list was prepared in Turkey terming Kashmiri journalists as pro-India. This hit list was prepared by terrorist Mukhtar Baba. Not only this, some journalists from Kashmir and anti-national forces associated with the Kashmir Fight blog also helped in making this hit list. After this, the security agencies handed over the list of six journalists who were in constant contact with Mukhtar Baba to the local agencies. Out of these, the security agencies identified them on Thursday. After some time both these journalists were detained and interrogated. This is the reason why police raids are going on at 10 places in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Kulgam districts in this context today i.e. on Saturday. The other accused involved in the conspiracy to threaten the media persons are expected to be arrested today.

 

According to security agencies, the police raids that began this morning are expected to continue throughout the day as the number of threats to media persons could be more than just six local journalists. This is the reason why at present raids are going on at 10 places in Kashmir. It is alleged that journalists who were in touch with Terrorist Baba had helped other journalists to take the line of Pakistan in making this list viral.

 

who is mukhtar baba

Mukhtar Baba has an old association with terrorism spread in Kashmir. In the year 1990, Baba also spent some time in jail in Kashmir. Before fleeing India, Mukhtar Baba worked in several media organizations including Greater Kashmir and Kashmir Observer. This is the reason that he has a lot of information about media personnel active in Kashmir.

 

Mukhtar Baba has also been in contact with Hezbollah, a terrorist organization active against Israel at some point in time. Since the year 2018, Mukhtar Baba is in Ankara and keeps visiting Pakistan in between. According to security agencies, Jodhi Karin Fischer, an American woman of German origin, has played an important role in getting Mukhtar Baba a place in Ankara. Jodhi Karin has also worked as a deep agent of ISI, living in the Kashmir Valley for eight years. When the security agencies came to know about this, he was forcibly deported.
