Blaming the cross-border activities directly for the incidents of terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that Pakistan is still the axis of terrorism in Kashmir Valley. The fact that 60 percent of the terrorists killed in anti-terrorism operations last year were of Pakistani origin is proof of this.
In fact, during his annual press conference, while answering questions related to the incidents of terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army Chief said that a ceasefire agreement is in place on the Line of Control with Pakistan. But attempts of terrorist infiltration are constantly being made from across the border and the role of Pakistan-backed terrorists is more in the terrorist incidents in the valley.
What did the Army Chief say about terrorist incidents?
He said that in recent months, there has been an increase in terrorist activities in the North Kashmir Doda-Kishtwar and Rajouri areas. About 80 percent of the terrorists left in the valley and Jammu region today are Pakistani terrorists.

Don't join the army to earn money: Army Chief.
In his famous statement about joining the army for the country and not salary, General Dwivedi said that of course emotions are important for joining the army. You should join the army for your name and reputation, do not come just for money.
He said that if someone comes only for salary, then he will be different from the rest of the team and will not be able to connect with the spirit of the army. Praising the work of women military officers after their deployment in strategic divisions, the Army Chief also talked about increasing the number of women officers in the army in the coming years.
