Cyclone 'Remal' has caused massive devastation after hitting the coasts of Bengal. This severe cyclonic storm, which came with a speed of 135 kilometers per hour, caused heavy rains in West Bengal, due to which many houses and fields were flooded. The cyclonic storm was so severe that it left behind a trail of destruction. 


 

Kolkata's roads filled with water

Even the roads of Kolkata have been flooded due to Storm Ramal. It is still raining with strong winds in Bengal. The storm hit near the southwest coast of Mongla in neighboring Bangladesh at 8.30 pm on Sunday, after which it hit the shores of Bengal.


 

One died after being hit by debris

Many houses in Bengal suffered heavy damage due to storm 'Remal'. Many delicate houses were destroyed, while some trees and electric poles were also uprooted.


 

One person even died after being hit by debris in Gosaba area of Sundarban. Let us tell you that before the cyclone arrived, more than one lakh people were evacuated from sensitive areas in West Bengal.

Due to the storm, huge waves were seen on the beaches of Bengal. As the cyclone approached, the vast coastline was obscured by a thick blanket of rain, strong currents washed away fishing boats and flooded mud and thatched houses and farms in low-lying areas.
