Deepti, who is religious by nature, met Saint Premanand Maharaj in Mathura last year. During this meeting, she asked for a way to avoid negativity in a life full of wins and losses. He said that there are times in life when, despite one's best efforts, one is unable to perform well. This leads to negativity. When asked what to do to avoid negativity in such a situation, Premanand Maharaj advised that one should practice daily in whatever subject one desires for success. A good and honest person and athlete remains victorious even in defeat.

Three defeats gave the strength to win.

Father Shri Bhagwan Sharma explained that the Indian team had lost three consecutive matches. This defeat had disappointed not only Deepti but the entire team. However, when he spoke with Deepti on the phone, she urged him not to despair and urged him to turn this defeat into the strength to win. Perhaps this advice led to his daughters' outstanding performance.

Deepti said, "Dream fulfilled." On Monday, amid the celebrations of winning the World Cup, Deepti spoke with her mother, Sushila Devi, sister, Pragati, and her daughter, Radha, via video call. She said that ever since she started playing cricket with Team India, her dream was to see the team win the World Cup and contribute to that victory. It's a coincidence that today, when the team won, she not only became the Player of the Tournament, but also contributed to every victory. She said that she can't express the joy of this dream coming true in words. Deepti said, "Right now, everyone is just enjoying the feeling of victory. The best thing about this entire tournament was that in every match, some player or the other acted as a surprise element and contributed to India's victory."
