For the first time in Omicron's wave, there has been a decrease in death due to corona infection in Delhi. After January 5 this year, an average of 15 people died in Delhi every day. While four deaths have been registered in the last day. Not only this, for the first time after 28 December 2021, less than 600 people have been found corona infected during a day in Delhi. During that time 496 people were found infected in a day. While one patient had died. Also, the daily infection rate was recorded at 0.89 percent, but on Monday, the Health Department said that 586 people have been found infected on the last day. At the same time, four patients have died due to infection. During this, 1092 patients have been discharged.

 

 

According to the department, 1.37 percent of corona infections were found in 42797 samples tested on the last day. With this, the total number of infected patients has increased to 18,51,906, out of which 18,22,414 patients have been cured, but 26076 people have died. There are still 3416 patients under treatment in Delhi due to corona infection, out of which 490 patients are admitted to hospitals. At the same time, 183 patients are being treated in ICU. Apart from these, 155 patients also have to give oxygen therapy. Out of these, 37 patients have been put on a ventilator due to their critical condition.

 

 

The department said that there are a total of 16154 containment zones in Delhi at present. In Delhi, 2361 corona patients are still being treated at their homes. While 46 patients have been admitted to Covid surveillance centers. According to the data, more than one thousand people were found corona infected daily in Delhi since December 29, 2021, but due to the decline after passing the peak of the wave last month, less than one thousand people are getting infected daily in Delhi for the last five days. Huh. At the same time, a steady decrease in the infection rate is also being recorded.
