There is a lot of anger over the incident of a 20-year-old girl being dragged to death for 11 kilometers in a car in Delhi's Sultanpuri. If the police are under question, its echo has reached the Ministry of Home Affairs. Delhi Police has made another disclosure in this matter.
According to the police, when we traced the route of the deceased, it was found that she was not alone on her scooty. A girl was with him at the time of the accident. She got injured and fled from the spot but the leg of the deceased got stuck in the car after which he was dragged.
Police said the other girl returned to her home after the accident and the victim was trapped under the car, which dragged her for 12 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala. The Delhi Police has recorded the statement of the victim's friend in the case.
Boiled on the cruelty of the girl, Shah sought a report from the police
Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself took information about the incident from Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on Monday morning and asked him to submit a detailed investigation report soon. On the instructions of the Home Minister, Sanjay Arora has entrusted the responsibility of preparing the investigation report for the Ministry of Home Affairs to Special Commissioner Economic Offenses Wing Shalini Singh according to seniority. A team of Delhi Police officers under his leadership has started the investigation.
The round of meetings of top officials continued throughout the day at the police headquarters regarding the incident. On the other hand, angry people and the relatives of the girl staged a protest outside the Sultanpuri police station and demanded capital punishment for the accused. After the intervention of Home Minister Shah, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena also took stock of the investigation by meeting with the Commissioner of Police.

The LG has directed the Police Commissioner to take strict action according to the law irrespective of the economic status, so-called political reach, or clout of the accused. He also sought a report on the negligence of the police and said, strict action should be taken against anyone who has been negligent. The LG also asked the police commissioner to explore the possibility of providing a government job to an eligible member of the victim's family.
