According to the police, when we traced the route of the deceased, it was found that she was not alone on her scooty. A girl was with him at the time of the accident. She got injured and fled from the spot but the leg of the deceased got stuck in the car after which he was dragged.
Police said the other girl returned to her home after the accident and the victim was trapped under the car, which dragged her for 12 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala. The Delhi Police has recorded the statement of the victim's friend in the case.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself took information about the incident from Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on Monday morning and asked him to submit a detailed investigation report soon.
