New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS) A CISF constable deployed on Delhi Metro's airport express line committed suicide early Thursday by shooting himself with his service rifle, police said.
Mukesh Kumar, 40, of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), shot himself dead around around 3 a.m. while he was on duty at the New Delhi station.
"The constable was taken to the nearby Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival," a senior Delhi Police officer told IANS.
He said that senior police officers had reached the spot and an investigation has begun.
