The investigation of BJP and Congress's complaint regarding the ruckus and scuffle in the Parliament premises on Thursday has been handed over to the Crime Branch. In BJP's complaint, an FIR has been filed against Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi.

BJP alleges that Rahul Gandhi pushed BJP MPs and 2 MPs were injured. At the same time, Congress has alleged that BJP MPs pushed the Congress President. Congress MPs were attacked. Now the matter has reached the police station. Both sides have made serious allegations against each other.

Delhi Police has registered a case against Rahul Gandhi regarding the scuffle in the Parliament premises. BJP had complained against Rahul Gandhi under 6 other serious sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempt to murder.
A case was registered at Sansad Marg police station on Thursday under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 117 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 131 (use of criminal force), 351 (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. The case was registered against Rahul Gandhi just hours after the BJP filed a complaint.
Police may call Rahul Gandhi for questioning.
After a case was registered against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the case of a scuffle in the Parliament premises, the police may record the statements of two injured MPs and may also call the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha for questioning.
According to police sources, if needed, the Delhi Police may write a letter to the Parliament Secretariat and demand CCTV footage of the area of the incident. Handing over the case from the local police to the Crime Branch can also be considered.
Sources said a team of police officials may also meet Sarangi and Rajput at the hospital and record their statements for further investigation. Reports of their medical certificates will be collected, they said.
