Delhi Politics: Arvind Kejriwal to present trust vote in Delhi Assembly today

The trust vote will be tabled in the House by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday in a two-day special session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly. Due to this, there is likely to be a huge ruckus between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition BJP. Apart from this, there will be a CBI raid by the ruling party in the house and the opposition will attack the ruling party regarding the excise policy.

 

AAP alleges inducement of Rs 20 crore each to MLAs

 

Earlier, in a scathing attack on the BJP, CM Kejriwal had alleged that Operation Lotus, launched by the BJP to topple his government, failed as it could not buy any AAP MLAs. He said the BJP had targeted 40 AAP MLAs and each of them was offered Rs 20 crore to change the party.

Arvind Kejriwal had said on Friday that he wants to bring a motion of confidence in the assembly so that it can be proved in front of the people of Delhi that the Operation Lotus Delhi operation of the BJP has become mud. BJP MLAs have accused Arvind Kejriwal of using the assembly for political campaigning and doing gimmicks to divert people's attention from his government's liquor scam. All eight BJP MLAs were thrown out of the House on Friday. BJP leaders alleged that Arvind Kejriwal has been making false claims about attempts to allegedly break AAP MLAs since he contested the Delhi Assembly elections in 2013.
