Rohit Sharma has become the second most successful captain of India in T20 International cricket. Under Rohit's captaincy, India won the series by defeating Australia 2-1 in the three-match T20I series on Sunday. After losing the first match, the Indian team registered a resounding victory in the next two matches. This is India's sixth T20I series win. Of these, Team India has won five under the captaincy of Rohit. With the defeat of Australia in Hyderabad, Rohit has now become India's second most successful captain in T20 International cricket. This is Rohit's 33rd win in a T20I match as a captain and now he has overtaken Virat Kohli in terms of winning the most matches as an Indian captain.

 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni holds the record of winning most T20 International matches as an Indian captain. Dhoni has won 42 matches for India under his captaincy in the shortest format of cricket.
