Even after the death of three students due to drowning water entered the basement of Rao IAS Study Circle, a coaching center in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi.

The drain was cleaned with additional pumps and super  machines, but none of the arrangements worked. However, as soon as the rain intensified, MCD employees became alert and reached the spot, but could not stop the waterlogging.

Water filled up to waist level on the road

From Bada Bazar Marg to Satpal Bhatia Marg, water filled up to waist level. Residents said the amount of waterlogging was even more than the incident of June 27. This was why water again entered the coaching centre Rao IAS Study Circle first to the ground floor and then to the basement.

Amidst the waterlogging, students protested at the spot, while local people again came to see the same route. However, due to waterlogging, there was no traffic on Bada Bazar Marg and Satpal Bhatia Marg of the coaching center Rao IAS Study Circle.

People who had to go to their homes or shops were seen passing through the waterlogging. However, Delhi Police personnel were present on the spot, who were preventing people from going to the waterlogged area. Also, the entry and exit were closed after the waterlogging.

Water filled in shops and coaching centers

After the rain subsided, people were seen removing water from their shops and coaching centers with buckets and wipers. According to officials, there is a slope on Shankar Road, due to which this Satpal Bhatia Marg of Shankar Road, New Rajendra Nagar, and Old Rajendra Nagar turns into a river due to the water accumulating on the road.

A similar situation occurs on Pusa Road from Karol Bagh Metro Station, where due to the slope, water accumulates and forms on Bada Bazaar Marg. Heavy waterlogging occurs due to water coming from both sides.
