I studied at Hiraba's house in Vadnagar. My name is Abbas. Nowadays people do not remember anyone. In such a situation, Narendra Bhai and Hiraba remembered me, it is a matter of pride for me.
When he returned from Hajj, he had brought the holy water of Zamzam for Hiraba.
Abbasbhai told- 'I had gone to Haj in the year 2014. After returning from there, he went to meet Hiraba. On that day I had given Hiraba the Jannatul Firdous perfume and the holy water of Zamzam brought from there. Hiraba was overjoyed.
Abbasbhai stayed with Hiraba after his father's death
Abbasbhai said- 'My father and Narendra Modi's father Damodar Kaka were firm friends. My school was in Vadnagar. After the death of my father, my elder brother spoke to Damodar's uncle about my troubles. Damodar Kaka said send Abbas to my house. I will keep him at my home, teach him and take care of him. For me, Pankaj is like Abbas.
Narendra Modi's younger brother Pankaj Modi used to study in the same school as Abbasbhai, in the same class. Because of this, both became good friends. This friendship continues even now.
Passed the matriculation examination by staying near Hiraba
Abbasbhai passed the matriculation examination from Vadnagar in the year 1973-74 by staying at Hiraba's house. He told- 'After passing matriculation, I went to Visnagar for further studies. Later from there, he studied in Mansa and Ahmedabad. After getting a government job, he became permanent with the family. Even before I stayed at Hiraba's house, Narendra Modi did not live at home. So there were not many meetings with him. Pankajbhai also came to meet me recently.
Modi had said- Mother used to look after Abbasbhai
On their mother's birthday, PM Modi wrote in a blog- 'Mother is always very happy to see others happy. There is a village not far from our house, where very dear friends of my father lived. His son Abbas. After the sudden demise of Abbas's father, his father brought him home. Abbas studied at our home. Like us, mother also took great care of Abbas. On the day of Eid, she also used to prepare dishes of Abbas's choice.
