If you are outdoors, lie down on the ground and crawl to an open space. Stay away from buildings, power lines, and trees. If you are driving, stop the vehicle and stay in it. Avoid stopping near buildings, trees, overpasses, and power lines.

 

If you are in bed, stay there and cover your head and neck with pillows. If you are in a wheelchair or use a walker, lock your wheels and stay seated until the shaking stops.
